East Coast Charter is owned and operated by me David Demo. I am a proud Indigenous Penobscot native. Born to the Penobscot river, I have always been drawn to water and felt connected and protective of it. I’ve spent many years on many adventures before finally landing back home on the Atlantic to start my very own charter business. I’ve been here almost a decade on the working waterfront of Maine. From seaweed harvesting to lobstering and building and restoring ships to captaining and spending all of my free time exploring, finding new coves, inlets and islands I haven’t seen yet.

I’m really introverted and spend a lot of time by myself but I’ve seen so much beauty and experienced so many amazing places on the coast that I push my boundaries because I want to share them with everyone.

There is something about being out on the water, a stillness or a calming sensation, something that slows you down and makes you pay attention. I can’t explain it but I miss it every second that I’m not out there.

It changes you. and I want to share those feelings for the rest of my life.
